The De Havilland Canada DHC6-300 Twin Otter is a non-pressurized twin-engine STOL turboprop aircraft, capable of carrying 2,700lbs payload up to 1,000nm while operating from less then 1,000ft airstrips. One of the most successful turboprops ever built, over 800 Twin Otters have been produced between 1965 and 1988, incl. arctic and amphibian versions. The Twin Otter is now out of production, but it is still in use in 70 countries for passenger and cargo transport as well as search & rescue, coastal patrol and various military roles
