Stable Jet Services is currently organizing the salvage of a DHC6-300 S/N 844 from Ba’Kelalan Sarawak Malaysia which overran the runway in September 2008.
Due to the remoteness of this village we are removing the engines and wings and trucking them out on a little used logging road. We have contracted Erickson Skycrane to lift the fuselage out using their CH-54. This aircraft will be further disassembled at the Miri airport and then packed into two 40-foot sea freight containers for its delivery to the client.
This aircraft will be completely rebuilt into like new condition.
Stable Jet Services plans to break ground on its new 10,000 sq.ft Hangar and offices facility in mid 2010. This facility will be home base to our aircraft recovery team and will also enable us to accomplish our rebuild projects and routine maintenance. A 20,000 sq ft warehouse is also in the planning stages to consolidate our parts and those of our consigners.
